We are very sorry to report that we experienced system problems on Friday
night. Many of you likely experienced difficulty signing on to AOL, or with
particular features such as People Connection and message boards. These
problems were related to the installation of new system software for a
portion of our host computer complex. On Friday night we identified a bug in
this new software, and we worked closely with the supplier of that software
component to rectify the problem. Service resumed late Friday evening and we
are now working on tuning the performance of the overall system.
We apologize for this inconvenience, and want to thank you all for your
patience during this period.
