I hardly see that as much of a problem especially on a non-hubbed server.
Make the channel +m, so it is moderated, have a batting order for questions
with +v's. And with the case of privmsgs, Guy just doesn't accept them...
/ignore privmsg all. Ta-dah.

However on EFnet if a group of #win95ers or anyone else for that matter
decided to make what could be a really cool get together misserable, it
wouldn't be much of a problem.

If Guy K. really wanted to see #macintosh and stop by and say "hello" on
EFnet he could/would. But it's just ridiculous to think it can be handled
on a net that already falls apart without an extra 500 people flooding to
it at the same time one evening.
