This is the point. There *IS* something seriously wrong with EFNet.
IRCOps could really give a shit whether a channel has ops or not, and
there's not much one can do about it if ops happen to be lost. The
Undernet has it's act together, and has nice features to help prevent Bad
Things like takeovers and nick collides.
EFNet: splits every few minutes, nick collides occur often, channel
takeovers are problems, lag sux. More than 10,000 people on average.
Plenty of lamers.
Undernet: Plenty of IRCOps on hand. Very low lag. Almost no takeovers.
Nick collides are impossible. Splits uncommon. Less than 2,500 people on
average. Channel service bots.
Hmmm. tough choice. :)
