I'm no formal writer but, perhaps here are some things that should be
included:
The IRC channel #macintosh is a free discussion on the Apple Macintosh
computer. In general, discussion about any related topic is allowed,
with the following exceptions:
1. Warez discussion. Discusion of pirated software, in any form is strictly
prohibited. The operators have the right to remove any user directly
discussing pirated software, pirate sites, and pirate IRC channels
(#mac_warez). One or two warnings may be given before channel bans are
put in place.
2. Computer Bashing. Bashing of the macintosh computer without any reason,
and expecially by non-macintosh users who are doing it for the fun of it.
The operators reserve the right to remove these users from the channel
possibly with a ban.
3. Channel flooding. Flooding of a channel with random or cut and paste
characters are not allowed. Flooding with a purpose (e.g. listing earlier
pertinant information) may be allowed in some cases with the
permission of an operator, and proper warning. Random garbage floods will
not be tolerated. Excessive nick changing can be considered a flood.
Channel takeovers of any will result in kick, bans, and perhaps a discussion
with the local internet provider of that user.
Hack this up all you want, just a few notes I thought might be helpful.
